APPOINTMENT SCHEDULING AND YARD MANAGEMENT
Every truck. In the right place.
Plan time slots, validate entry and coordinate warehouse operations. FreightRamp brings bookings, docks, security staff and drivers together in one process.
Let’s discuss your setup
Every visit. Under control.
Everyone knows the next step. You can see exactly where each visit stands.
Plan the arrival
Collect details through a booking form or API. Choose a time slot and dock based on availability.
Check in at the yard
Identify the visit at the gate. Assign a waiting space and share the status with your team.
Call the driver to the dock
Send instructions by SMS, app or pager. Track service progress and, on digital channels, the driver’s replies.
Complete and review
Close the visit once service is complete. Compare operation times, dock utilisation and deviations from the plan.
See a working day in FreightRamp.
Five minutes in the real application: a booking, a dock slot, the live yard, a driver called to the dock and the report at the end of the day.

- Communication reports: Analyse sessions, communication channels and drivers’ responses to instructions.
- Change history and audit log: See who changed what and when across visits, communication and system configuration.
- CSV and XLSX exports: Filter data, export it for further analysis and review the history of generated reports.
Check the visit before raising the barrier.
FreightRamp matches a number plate or visit code to an unfinished booking. It also checks that the current calendar day falls within the booking’s date range. The gate integration receives an approval or rejection.
Vehicle identification
The gate system sends the tractor unit or semi-trailer number plate, or the booking code.
Booking matching
The associated visit is located within the correct organisation.
Visit validation
The system checks that the visit has not been completed and that the current calendar day falls within its date range.
Decision for the gate
Approval or rejection is sent to the integration that controls the site’s equipment.
We design additional access checks, security rules and equipment controls as part of a custom integration.
Where your people work.
Tablet apps for warehouse staff, security teams and coordinators. Give everyone the information, tasks and actions they need - at the gate, in the yard and right at the dock.
Warehouse and dock teams
Waiting vehicles, assigned docks, instructions and handling status. Confirm operation stages and report issues without leaving the workstation.
Security and gate staff
Appointments, driver and vehicle identification, access checks and entry and exit records. Everything needed for a smooth check-in on one screen.
Coordinators and shift managers
Yard status, dock workload, queues and events that need attention. A shared view of operations and a quick way to send instructions to the team.
Define a view for every location.
Configure displays for the whole yard, screens at docks, security views or a panel for a specific zone. Choose the data, layout and available actions to suit each employee’s role. Use tablets, monitors or TV screens.
See what’s happening in your yard.
The map brings booking and visit information together in one view. See assigned docks, waiting spaces and visit stages. Select a vehicle to check its status.
Integrations without rigid limits.
Cameras, barriers, RFID antennas, automation and business systems. FreightRamp adapts to your site. We connect equipment, data and processes - including solutions beyond a standard catalogue.
Cameras and vehicle recognition
Integrations with IP and ANPR/LPR cameras. Read number plates, identify tractor units, trailers and semi-trailers, and link vehicles to bookings.
Barriers, gates and traffic lights
Control entry and exit based on access rights, visit status and space availability. Bring barriers, gates, traffic lights and dock automation into one process.
RFID antennas and sensors
RFID readers, antennas and tags to identify vehicles and record movements between zones. Presence sensors, inductive loops and IoT devices provide additional event sources.
ERP, WMS, TMS and open APIs
Exchange bookings, transport details and ETAs with your business systems. Field mapping, event handling and custom connections tailored to your environment.
Pagers, displays and communication
SYSCALL pagers, SMS, a driver app and information displays. A single instruction can trigger a message, update a display and start the next action in the yard.
Your next integration idea
Weighbridges, access control, security systems or your own equipment. We design additional integrations and rules to match the way your site operates.
LoRaWAN: data from yard sensors.
Integrate low-power, long-range sensors for vehicle presence, parking occupancy, temperature or gate status. Data from the LoRaWAN network reaches FreightRamp through a network server or API and can feed the yard map, alerts and automation rules.
A yard that sees more.
Turn camera footage into operational insight. We design AI solutions to support your team’s decisions and trigger the right actions in the system.
Number plates, tractor units and trailers
Identify vehicles and tractor-trailer combinations, read markings and compare them with booking details. Verify what enters and leaves your site more quickly.
Parking and zone occupancy
Analyse available and occupied spaces, detect parked semi-trailers and monitor dwell times. Camera insights can feed into the yard map and help prepare instructions for drivers.
Parking compliance and alerts
Detect vehicles parked outside bay markings, blocking a route or occupying the wrong zone. An event can trigger an operator alert, a message or the next process rule.
Flexible architecture. Custom integrations. Together, we select the equipment, AI modules and automation scope for your site.
Before we begin.
Do drivers need to install an app?
No. One option is an SMS with a unique visit link. Drivers can read messages and reply without creating an account. An app, email and pagers are also available.
Can the system match our processes?
Yes. Booking forms, statuses, stage transitions, automation rules, message templates and user permissions are configurable. We agree on the configuration scope during implementation.
Can you integrate our equipment and systems?
We design integrations for each site: from cameras, barriers and RFID antennas to ERP, WMS, TMS and AI video analytics. We work beyond a fixed list of devices. Together, we define the available interfaces, automation scope and operating scenarios.
What does the visualisation on this page show?
It is a simplified simulation using sample data, showing the stages of a visit. In the product, the map reflects statuses and assigned locations; RFID integration can provide confirmed location events.
